Eetu Catches the Rainbow of a Lifetime on the River Tipasjoki

We arrived at the familiar Punkakoski Rapid, where we had caught rainbow trout in previous years. I wanted to take part in the competition for the largest fish, arranged there every year on the opening day, and we knew the rapids had been stocked with large rainbow trout. On one of my first casts I hooked a rainbow trout that turned out to be over 4kg. I played the fish for a while, and finally managed to land it using a landing net. It was the biggest rainbow trout I’d ever caught.
